I've been using the Cullowheegee Bug Repellent Lotion Bar for the past two years on many hikes in Northern Georgia and campouts with my Boy Scout troop. While everyone around me gets chewed up by mosquitos and other flying insets despite wearing deet-tainted products, I am unbothered enjoying the outdoors. I discovered this company at the Asheville Bee Festival, I LOVE this product. I cannot stand spraying myself with bug spray ( clothes, ok) but face and body, nope. This is travel size and I carry it everywhere on hiking and outdoor activities. Easy to apply to my face and ears. It is not sticky, and east to take off, reapply and smells amazing.
I bought this bug-repellent bar at a market in Biltmore Park in Asheville in 2023. I’ve been using this bar on hikes or just when spending days outside. I’ve just now (2026) run my current bar down. It’s excellent!! plus it smells amazing.
This product actually works. Repels mosquitos, gnats and even ticks! The days I forget it, are the days we get bit!
